Each year there is a ‘list’ for any and everything that will be trending in the upcoming season. Of course, the design world has its top crazes as well. According to Zillow Digs Home Trend Forecast, one of the top five home design trends for 2015 included cowhide (ranking number two on the list). As Alexa Fiander stated on zillow.com, “Cowhide is the ideal accent texture for 2015’s modern, yet approachable design aesthetic.” Cowhide rudiments can be incorporated with pillows, rugs, throw blankets, artwork, and so much more.
Cowhides are not just for country or rustic motifs either; a cowhide pillow is ideal even for a city loft as a striking accent for your sofa…this gorgeous and fun decor does not discriminate. If you happen to be on Pinterest and search ‘cowhide’, not only do you see the initial pins, but there are others on 102 subtopics. If you Google search “cowhide décor,” about 827,000 results came up in .06 seconds. Apparently, there is some truth to this trend!
If you want to just add one item to your home, a cowhide rug is a great pick to add a memorable aspect in any style of home. A cowhide rug can be utilized in kitchens, hallways, dining rooms, living rooms…basically any room of the house. They are hypo-allergic and offer a component of extravagance and warmth. Authentic or artificial, it is important to take some time to explore the different patterns and the variety of colors offered. Cowhide rugs are wonderful for all flooring, so you can use them without any apprehension.
Have fun with design, make cowhides be the balance or the ‘neutral’ to a colorful room, and just remember…as Joseph Chilton Pearce said, “To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.” According to this trend list, you can’t go wrong with cowhide décor.
